What a weekend!

Wow - I am not feeling well today.  I think I have a pretty nasty cold.  Nothing cold about the wagers placed this weekend.  BYU just came off a 1 point loss against Texas to cover easily.  That makes it a 3-0 Saturday.  Great start, hopefully we can keep it up.  Cold streaks will happen, the best thing you can to is put them off as long as possible.  2011 College FB record so far is 8-4.

On to the NFL.  Tomorrow is the remainder of Week 1, many games to pick from and many games that will most likely disappoint gamblers everywhere.  The NFL is so hard.  There are 18 teams who have a legitimate chance to get to the Super Bowl.  My preseason pick for the Super Bowl is the Eagles vs the Chargers. 

Tomorrow I am taking the Tennessee Titans +2 over the Jaguars.  I think the Jaguars will be one of the worst teams of the year.  They released a veteren QB like David Garrard to put the reigns in the hands pf Luke McCown.  The reason for that is purely because it will make it easier to turn it over to the rookie later in the year.  I like the Titans led by their new veteran QB to get the win tomorrow.  $10 is the wager.

Another win with Tennessee puts us off to a 7-4 start in College FB this year.  6PM game today is going to be BYU +7.5 for $10.  The Longhorns should struggle with the oversized offensive line the Cougars are running out on the field.  Finished the first line and will be starting a 2nd one.

Badgers in the Bag

Wow the Badgers are going to be tough this year.  What a great year to be a football fan in Wisconsin.  The Badgers could have a legitimate shot at the national championship if they get by Nebraska, and the Packers could repeat as Super Bowl Champs.  With my Badgers bet secure I am going to run it back at the 2:30 games with a Tennessee bet -6, $10

2-0 last night, the ASU game got up to 10 so I had to take Missouri.  #21 ranked team catching 10 is too hard to pass up.  Today I start with my home Badgers -21 agaist Oregon St.  This should be over early.  Badgers roll today!!  $10

Friday Fun Day

Last night turned out to be a great night.  1-0 in College FB and I am currently running at 100% in the NFL!!  That's Right 1-0!!  It's nice when you have a wager in the bag 2 minutes into the 2nd half.  Nobody is going to stop the Packers this year, if they have an over/under less than 50 the rest of the year it's a sin!!  Oklahoma St took care of business and pulled away late to cover the 14 points.

Tonight's games are pretty tough.  I like the Sun Devils to come out firing tonight and beat a Missouri team that is not very sharp yet and is probably looking ahead to Big 12 play.  Nice national stage game, the line is at 9 1/2 up from 7.  I like ASU but am going to wait until just before kickoff to decide to bet or not.

I will be taking FIU over Louisville tonight.  Everyone seems to think they are going to win outright but I will stay a little more conservative and take the 3 1/2 points.  I have got FIU + 3 1/2 for $22.60.

Thursday Night Football

I love college football.  Once we get going there are games pretty much every night.  Thursday night brings the Oklahoma St home for a test against rebuilding Arizona.  I am taking OK St -14.  The current line looks like this

NFL is also starting on Thursday.  The Season will start with the Super Bowl Champion Packers taking on the high powered Saints.  This game will start the season with a bang and I see a ton of points being scored in this game.  I am taking the Over 47 for 10 apples.  Current NFL line looks like this

College Football is here!!

So I am ready for the football season again. In fact I am 2-3 already and decided to start the blog again. I am running a simple Labouchere line for the betting method. The line after the first 5 bets looks like this

The next wager is going to be Labor Day. I've got the Miami/Maryland Under 46.5. If they even play this game it's supposed to be in 1-2 inches of rain. I am looking for a slopfest, one of those 14-10 or 17-13 games. Hopefully well under the number.
